I have good news for everyone that is traveling to the Mississippi Gulf Coast this summer. The Mississippi Gulf Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Mississippi Hotel & Lodging Association has teamed up to offer this promotion.
Visit between June 15 and September 1 will receive a $50.00 gas voucher with a minimum two night stay at participating hotels. By calling 1-888-216-1552, visitors can make advance reservations and, upon check-in at their hotel, will receive a Kangaroo gas card valued at $50.00.

I am going to be staying at the Beau Rivage from July 25th till the 28th so I will be calling the above number tomorrow to get a little more details. Including which hotels/casinos are participating. Also the room is reserved in my friend’s name who is flying in from Atlanta, I am driving in from Tampa so I hope I can still qualify for the gas card. I was doing some looking and searching around today for events and promotions for the 4th of July. It falls on a Friday this year which means the casinos and hotels will be packed! I hope the gas prices doesn’t keep everyone else at home this year. I know I am staying home.

Pat Benatar will play for the 4th of July anniversary weekend and a variety of entertainers are booked for the coming months, including soul artist Al Green, comedian Jeff Foxworthy, rock band Styx and country musician Gretchen Wilson.
Ocean Springs
The city of Ocean Springs will hold Front Beach 2008 Celebration, an all-day event featuring live musical performances, beach sports and fireworks.

I am still trying to see what other casinos are having promotions or 4th of July specials. The Beau Rivage usually puts on something special, but can’t find any information yet.
